For Netflix, we documented a Manchester fan activation built around Harry Styles’ album release, capturing fans as they left messages on a public billboard before the concert event at Co-op Live.

Harry Styles: One Night in Manchester
Overview
Our role was to capture the activation with a premium documentary feel while also creating a distinct social-first asset. We developed, pre-visualised and built a custom booth using perspex, lighting, audio and an internal phone camera setup so fans could write directly onto the frame.
The project was built around fan emotion. Fans were invited to leave messages as part of a public billboard activation, creating a collective love letter around the release and the energy of one night in Manchester.

The Challenge
Netflix needed more than straightforward event coverage. The brief called for high-spec footage that could support a mini documentary, while also creating a memorable social asset that felt native to the platform and emotionally connected to the fandom.



The timeline was the biggest challenge. The project moved from brief to shoot within days, with a lean crew travelling to Manchester, filming in a live public environment and delivering an overnight edit for next-day release. With no fans pre-booked, the team had to find and work with real fans on the day.

The Solution
We developed a practical social concept that put the audience inside the activation. Instead of only filming fans from the outside, the booth allowed them to write directly toward camera, creating an intimate POV that made the viewer feel like they were inside the billboard.

The final pieces captured the warmth, scale and sincerity of the fandom while giving Netflix a distinctive visual device that felt designed for social from the start.
